Kiara Advani’s Instagram feed is all the wardrobe inspiration we need this summer. Bright, bold and beautiful, it’s got everything from eye-popping neons to classic whites. We were only too happy to scroll through her bookmark-worthy feed—the result of which are these five key style lessons that you should be taking note of.
1. A red for every mood
How much red is too much? One look at Advani’s feed and you’ll believe it’s never enough. Whether she’s in front of the camera or lounging around during her downtime, fiery red is always a staple with the actor. Her most recent sightings in the hue have been a tomato red pant suit, a red hot bikini top and sarong and shaded sharara pants worn with a dupatta you cannot miss.
2. Colour me neon
Never one to shy away from bright hues, Advani’s feed is an explosion of colour. From lime yellows to popping pinks, there doesn’t seem to be a colour that Advani can’t pull off. Perhaps one of her most eyeball grabbing neon looks was the one shoulder lime green jumpsuit that she picked in December 2019. Keeping the makeup and styling simple, she prefers to make a statement with colour—and we’re not complaining.
3. New-age Indian wear
Advani’s Instagram is every millennial’s handbook on how to do Indian wear. Statement blouses (her recent black embellished lehenga set is hard to forget), neon hues (should we even be surprised?) and statement silhouettes (hello Manish Malhotra) make every look one to remember. And for every ladylike lehenga, she also does quirky with equal ease, like the Papa Don’t Preach By Shubhika number that she wore for the Akash Ambani-Shloka Mehta wedding.
4. For the love of white
Her love for neons notwithstanding, Advani is often seen making a case for the all-time classic, white. The actor, who’s currently holidaying in snowy Himachal Pradesh seemed to be blending in with her surroundings in a white sweatshirt. A quick scroll on her page shows some of her most noteworthy all-white looks— a romantic broderie anglaise co-ord set, a stunning sculptural Stephane Rolland gown and a dreamy lace gown by Manish Malhotra.
5. Go with the flow
The actor also often likes adding drama to her look via flowy, feminine silhouettes. We can definitely deduce that she’s partial to ruffles—an event in August 2019 had her wearing a voluminous metallic ruffled skirt; a few months prior, she was seen in another ruffled butterfly-esque silhouette; and last but not the least, earlier in March the same year, she was seen in a ruffled fuchsia gown during an event. Other notable looks include an ombre yellow mermaid-cut gown replete with a feathered trail, a voluminous pale pink satin gown and another layered pale yellow gown—giving us every reason to bookmark her looks when it’s finally time to play dress-up.
